A1: Amazon Critical Review

Nacho Ordinary Movie

When thinking of the greatest movie of all time, what movies would likely come to mind? The Godfather? Pulp Fiction? Forrest Gump? Well they shouldn’t. The one and only movie that should come to mind is Nacho Libre. “It’s the best” – Nacho “Nacho Libre.” 2006. If you haven’t seen this yet it is a must watch for any family or adult. This film feels realistic and does a great job of integrating the viewer with the movie. Just as  important, it provides endless and some adult humor while still maintaining an age appropriate rating for children. At Amazon’s renting price, Nacho Libre should be the movie on your screen. This movie is cheap on Amazon, all age appropriate, and well made for their budget.

To start, Jack Black is believed to be the greatest actor in the history of the world. His greatest movie, the movie that changed the world, “Nacho Libre” is available on Amazon for at the very least, would cost $3.99 to rent in HD. To quickly summarize, the movie is about a Monk living in a Mexican monastery named Ignacio who always dreamed of being a luchador but cannot due to the religious beliefs of the monastery he is apart of. On a food delivery ride for the poor, he’s jumped by a hobo on the street. The homeless man wrestles away a large bag of chips. Ignacio remembers things and sets a trap to offer the man to duo wrestle with him as a luchador. Nacho takes up the name Nacho Libre and the Homeless man whose actual name is Steven adopts the name Esqueleto (Skeleton). Nacho hopes to become the best luchador in Mexico and give the orphans in his monastery the life they deserve. I don’t want to spoil anything else in the movie because I actually want you to see it, but as the movie plays it continues to get better. After watching this movie I too want to become a Luchador in Mexico. Ultimately, the movie was well written, there were plenty of great moments throughout. It had a cohesive plotline for any age, and had appropriate actors for every role.

In my opinion, there are three main things that sets this movie apart from others on Amazon. First off, at Amazon’s set renting price, viewing the movie in high definition would cost $3.99, about half the price of starting a Netflix subscription for a month. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend 4 dollars, cheaper and quicker than setting up a Netflix account. As well as the high definition quality Netflix may not be able to provide. Another key point is the age appropriate rating. A parent could show this movie to their kids and enjoy it themselves. There is no need for parents to worry about non age appropriate jokes often told in most relevant comedy movies. Finally, Nacho Libre appeared to be for the most part culturally authentic and perfectly casted. Everything in the movie appears to be how it would in the depicted part of Mexico providing an authentic movie. Equally important, the actors and actresses casted played and fit their roles extraordinarily. Overall, the movie is cheap because it was made in 2006, can be viewed by all ages, and is exceptionally made.

In conclusion, Nacho Libre is truly a very well made and loved movie. Maybe not actually the greatest movie of all time, but definitely worth watching. The rating is appropriate for adults and children alike and on top of that only costs 4 dollars to rent in HD. Other viewing options are available for this movie, yet would likely be cheaper and slightly easier to just rent on Amazon. First time seeing the movie or not, this movie always seems to make me laugh and all around have a good time watching it.it set a very light hearted mood and continues to make people laugh. Nacho Libre remains one of my favorite comedy movies, and possibly movies overall. If you already have a Netflix account I’d encourage you to watch it there, but for the price on Amazon I don’t know what could be easier.
